Dr. Louis Yarmosky was
born and raised in
Baltimore, Maryland
and is the oldest of
four brothers. He entered
The University of Maryland,
College Park in 1964 and
received his Doctor of
Dental Surgery Degree from
the University of Maryland
Dental School in 1971 and
was elected President of
the Student Government. Dr.
Louis completed his Pediatric
Dental Specialty Training and
earned his Masters of Dental
Science Degree from Boston
University in 1973.
Dr. Steven Yarmosky
was also born and
raised in Baltimore,
MD and is the 3rd
of 4 boys and the
brother of Dr.
Louis. An active
athlete and sports
enthusiast he
lettered in soccer,
basketball and
baseball while in
high school then
“hit the books” and
graduated Suma Cum
Laude from
University of
Maryland in College
Park in only three
years. Dr. Steve
then went on to earn
his Doctor of Dental
Surgery Degree from
the University of
Maryland in 1973
where he served as
President of his
Dental School Class
every year. Dr Steve
completed his
Pediatric Specialty
Training and
Residency at
Children’s Medical
Center of Dayton,
Ohio and served as
“Chief Pediatric
Resident” during his
2nd year.
Dr.
Lauren Ballinger
joined Yarmosky
Pediatric Dentistry
in the fall of 2009.
Dr. Lauren competed
her Dental School
training at
University of
Maryland earning her
Doctor of Dental
Surgery Degree in
2000 and went on to
complete her
Pediatric Specialty
Training and
Residency at
University of
Maryland in 2006.
She is Board
Certified in
Pediatric Dentistry
and a Diplomate of
the American Board
of Pediatric
Dentistry. Dr.
Lauren worked as
general dentist for
several years prior
to her Pediatric
Dental Specialty
Training and was
previously in
private practice as
a Pediatric Dentist
in Maryland. Dr.
Lauren was also a
part-time faculty
member at The
University of
Maryland Dental
School for the
Pediatric Dental and
Health Promotion
Department.
